Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is a Hollywood actor and writer who has received critical recognition for her skills. Sagittarius. Born in North Carolina December 3, 1960. She is the oldest out of the three children born to Peter Moore Smith (a paratrooper) and Anne Smith, a psychologist. She's English and Scottish. In the course of her father's employment, the Moore family moved a lot and she had to work hard to make friendships or maintain ones. Moore began acting in plays at Frankfurt American High School when her family moved to Germany. Her education continued at Boston University where she graduated in 1983, with a B.F.A. After graduating, Moore moved to New York where she started her journey in Off-Broadway Theater. Moore was a graduate of college with honors in New York and started her profession as an off-Broadway actor following her move to New York. In 1985 she made her television debut on The Edge of Night. The following year, she played the dual roles of Frannie as well as Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns which became her break. She was on the show between 1988 and 1990, and received a Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she made her cinematic debut in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie that was later criticized as the worst low-budget production. Short Cuts (1993), 3 Women (1997), and both were directed with Robert Altman. The films were critically acclaimed and Moore received multiple nominations. Moore was the first actress to get a major role in Safe in 1995, a movie. Steven Spielberg gave Moore her first lead role in the film Safe (1995). It was 1997 when the career of this actress reached a pivotal moment. She was tapped to play the lead role in Jurassic Park: The Lost World. This movie became one 1997's most successful movies. She received the SAG Award for her performance in Magnolia. In 2002, she co-starred with The Hours which got nominated for nine Academy Awards with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep. Moore has also appeared in The Forgotten 2004, Freedomland, Shelter and Shelter 2010. Non-Stop was a film in which where she was a part of the cast in 2014, was released. Moore has appeared in numerous productions and films. Most recently, she was in prominent roles was In 2022: When You Finish Securing the World. The actress has established herself in Hollywood as well as being a children's author. The first book she published was Freckleface Strawberry (2007) and became an N.Y.T. bestseller. It was adapted as the basis for a musical and TV series. Moore also published My Mom's Foreigner, the memoir of 2013. Moore has a public life as a renowned actor and a novelist. She was a bridesmaid to John Robin from 1984 until 1995. Bart Freundlich and Moore had two kids together. Moore's job, her friendships and family are among the most important aspects of her life.
